Here comes round 2 at Pocono, i am very much looking forward to this race due to the rain shortened race that Jeff Gordon won. Consider that one a present Jeff if the rain came a lap later newman would have had it. Anyways this week brings us to Pocono raceways famous 2.5 mile Tri-Oval.
This week I am going to have to start with Tony Stewart. Like i said last week when hes hot hes hot. Dont take him off your team just yet. Hes been pretty good here at Pocono, not one of hs best tracks, but He was in 5th at the rain shortened race, and in the last five years he has 5 top tens and 3 top fives.
My next pick would have to be Denny Hamlin, who will be right up there with his teamate. He dominates here at Pocono, sweeping inn 2006. In only 3 starts here he has 2 poles, 2 wins 2 top fives and 3 top tens. With an Ave finish of 2.7!!
Jimmy Johnson has had some bad luck these past few weeks. Its about to break this week. He Has 9 starts in the last five years here marking 2 wins 2 top fives and 5 top tens. He will be in the top ten this weekend.
Jeff Gordon has four winds at Pocono including the one in June, but like i said i dont think he would have won that race. He got lucky. In the past five years he only has one win, but has 4 top fives and 5 top tens. If you want someone in the top ten put him on. But he wil not win it this weekend.
Ryan Newman look for him to win the pole and run really well During most of the race. With 1 win 4 top fives and 4 top tens in the past 9 races here, hes another one to watch.
Mark Martin will do well this weekend, along with Truex who together they will make it to the front of the pack. Truex has three races here and has 1 top five and 2 top tens. Martin on the other hand in the last ten years has 19 races with 10 top fives, and 13 top tens. I think he will be looking to grab a win here today, and with the help of his new team he might get it.
Dale Jr sorry guys once again i dont think he is going to run well. Besides that he doesnt run well here at Pocono he probably going to wreck again. In the last five years he only has 2 top fives and 3 top tens. IF his car make it the whole race, then i see him placing around 17th.
Kevin Harvick has been 13th or better in his last 5 starts. With three top tens and 1 top 5 fives. He wont win it but he will be in the top ten again.
Matt Kenseth has been running great this season, not m pick to win it but he runs well here. With 2 top fives and 4 top tens in the last 5 years here. I see him finishing around 10th.
The BUSCH brothers. well Kyle has been off and on, hes got a great car, and has been driving well too. But isnt too good at Pocono with only 1 top five and 2 top tens in the last five years. As for Kurt he is the better pick with 1 win and 5 top fives in 5 years here.
Jaun Pablo Montoya hmmmm, three turns and three straightaways, I think the flatter the track the better he is which showed last week. I also beleive that the more turns there is the better he will run as well. After a 2nd place last week i see him running reallt well this week. He finished 20th last time in June from 38th starting. I think he will qualify alot better this time around and will be hard to keep from cracking the top ten.
STAY AWAY from Dale jr, The Biff, Sadler and Definetly Mcmurray. They wont run well tihs weekend.
Oh and hey take Reutimann off your team. I dont know why people keep insisting on haveing him as your low guy. He is a 10.7 for a reason!!!
Dark horses. Brian Vickers is good at Pocono, but he drives a toyota. Kasey Kahne is going to get a top ten very soon, it might have been last week but he wrecked. I still think he will get his act together shortly.
