I guess we should learn how to pay attention to little details in the future.
Following the latest baseball star’s injury that occurred to Phillies 1Baseman
Ryan Howard, I did a little research on the matter and look at what I’ve found.
First reported on March 12th 2007:
“Ken Mandel, of Phillies.MLB.com, reports Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard had his left thigh wrapped following the Sunday, March 11, game. Howard doesn't remember a particular play, which caused the pain, and he doesn't expect it to become an issue.”
This was during the preseason and nobody really gave it much thought then!
April 18th 2007:
“Ken Mandel, of Phillies.MLB.com, reports Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard (leg) injured his left leg as he stretched on his final step in an attempt to beat out a double-play Wednesday, April 18, against the Washington Nationals. Howard had his leg wrapped around his left knee after the game, and he appeared to be in a great deal of pain. He is likely to have an MRI before the Phillies' Thursday, April 19, game against the Nationals.”
This is NOW and everyone is worried about it. I was already offered Ryan Howard for a SP yesterday.
Am I implying that Ryan Howard shouldn’t have been drafted high in this past fantasy draft, had we known of this incident?
No by any means, as I’m sure he’ll be OK soon, but I guess now we know why he did struggle to open the season.

"Felix Hernandez is going to miss at least two starts if not more as he suffered a muscle strain inside his right elbow and forearm.
The Mariners' doctor has reported that after 10-20 days "King Felix "can start pitching a game again. He will resume playing catch in about five days."
It was a good thing to have removed him from the game and shutting him down for a while as he could have suffered a much more serious injury if he wasn't.
The team manager didn’t disclose Felix Hernandez’s replacement.
I believe he will miss three starts and we got to hope there are no lingering effects from this injury. I'd start looking for some good FA thru the waiver wire for the time being and would try to make a trade for a strong SP if you have any trade bait that could interest one of your fellow co-leaguers.

A FREE trade rumor for you:
The Chicago Cubs are entertaining the idea of trading
Jacque Jones to an undisclosed team, in order to keep CF "Phenom" Felix Pie in center. That would happen following Alfonso Soriano's return to the lineup next week. Soriano will be allotted to left field, according to those rumors.
